The Starting Point
CoreExec was brought in on a luxury spa build-out already underway — a space designed around a row of custom arched wall niches, meant to house individual treatment and styling stations for the client's guests. The team wasn't starting from a blank shell. They were asked to take over the project and carry it forward, with a deadline that didn't leave much room for a slow ramp-up.
The Challenge
Taking over a project mid-construction — on a deadline — comes with a different set of pressures than starting from scratch:
- Picking up someone else's scope and continuing the intended design, including a distinctive row of arched niches, without restarting the layout.
- A finish-out phase (fixtures, plumbing, final finishes) waiting on the rough construction to be signed off — every day of delay upstream pushed the whole schedule back.
- Keeping quality consistent under time pressure, so speed didn't come at the cost of a clean final result.
Our Approach
- Took over an active spa build-out already in progress, without missing a step
- Framed and finished all interior walls, including the signature row of arched wall niches
- Ran trades in parallel and prioritized critical-path work to protect the deadline
- Completed the entire rough construction phase in two weeks
- Carried the project through finishes and fixtures to a fully completed, open luxury spa
